This is a very good class. Physical guys in all positions.
CCH said the school we lost the most battles to was Harvard.
All of the O lineman take their guys to the ground, very aggressive and athletic.
Anderson is one of the more exciting backs we have signed in long time.
The new guys already in spring practice are looking good.
Not surprising, but is probably best class yet, which is what they expected with two seasons of success, camps, recruiting and building relationships.

I think we are now in a position where we can really start building some depth and stop having to rely on freshmen to step in and play across the board. Ideally, you want these guys to start increasing playing time after 2 or 3 years in the program.

I understand these young men have never played a snap in college but I thought it interesting that our 16 signees had a total of 120 offers to play football at the collegiate level and 38 of these offers were FBS. Doubt this means much but good to know alot of schools seen talent in our guys. Solid class overall. Our stars of the future.

I agree. I can't think of another class — since I've become a nerd about recruiting (I blame Paul) that had this many total offers and as many FBS offers.

Abgenou put the cherry on top of this class. I didn't want to say this until post recruiting but I think Slay overplayed his hand. We will never know but I think Furman moved on the minute he started visiting other schools after the early signing period.

Abgenou is actually the piece we need a physical MLB. Lots to love about this class.

I like this class a lot. I think we are looking at some very good seasons ahead. In 2 years, I expect nothing less than SoCon dominance! Now if we can just keep our coaches....

Look, I HOPE we occasionally lose coaches.

If bigger programs are looking at Furman and picking up guys they think are talented, then we are hiring the right guys.
Occasionally is the key. NDSU is the standard and has only lost their second head coach after their SIXTH natty.

Sooo. We should expect THREE NATIONAL TITLES before Clay leaves. I’ll take that :D

Look the key is not only have lost an OC and DC in two years (not even NDSU has been losing coordinators at that rate !!!) but the DC was option specialist and we play the option twice - and it’s against two rivals Citadel and Wofford

Alabama loses more coordinators than we do.
And it clearly cost them this year. :D Clearly. I don’t pull for Clemson but they sure know what they are doing keeping assistants - $$$. You could maintain that had Bama kept more assistants they might have one more title

We now have that special fund to offer to keep coaches. Let’s use it. I am Sure CCH tried or realized it wasn’t going to change anything.

I was just a Staggs fan. So it’s a bit of a downer on a day of great recruiting

I think some of these guys qualify for academic money instead of athletic money and aren't in the release.

FWIW, Southside Christian tweeted a pic of both Kimmelman and LB JR Schroeder "signing" with Furman, but only Kimmelman is in the release. May be the same with Moody....
Just an FYI, Moody did sign this afternoon.
