Won at Bradley tonight 67-65 to reach the NIT semis for the first time.

OK. State is playing North Texas. The OK. State arena has some features that are similar to the old Greenville Memorial Auditorium but of course, it's larger than the Big Brown Box.

North Texas advanced to the semis as well with the win over OSU. At the end of this game the refs decided to let OSU do whatever they wanted to get the ball and it almost worked. BTW we in general we gripe about the SoCon officiatng but the striped ones have been really bad in the ncaa and nit tourneys IMHO.

UTC wins despite horrible call near end. Mocs play UC Irvine for the title Thursday night at 9 on espn. UC Irvine trailed North Texas by 15 but pulled it out by 2.

Holy cow what a finish... wide open UC Irvine guys misses a two footer for the championship. Congrats to UTC, you represented the SoCon well!

The UTC win in the NIT validates the SoCon as a much tougher league than it was given credit for and in my opinion Chattanooga should have gotten an NCAA tournament bid.

I had no trouble rooting for the Mocs and congrats to them for doing the SoCon proud. And they did it without one of their best players.

They have 4 underclassmen that all played prominent roles in their victory so they will be tough next year too. As long as they don't end up in the transfer portal. Which would p*** me off if I were a Moc fan.
