Gave up 20 points to an NAIA guy in 10 minutes. He picked up a technical early in the second half and did not return.
Was down 9 at one point.
Had 85 points with 10 minutes left and finally got to 100 in the last 20 seconds.
Scored 44 points in the first half
Scored 41 the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Scored 15 the last 10 minutes.
House, Anderson and Bronson combined for 55 points.
FU will return to BJU on Feb. 5th vs. Western.
Pretty nice facility at BJU but needs a lighting upgrade, it was dark.
Got an idea of what Timmons sidelins will look like. They had 3 sections on each side, 10 rows 15 seats per row or 450 sideline seats. They do have pullout bleachers that were not out. No end zone seats.

Look like it wasn't our most impressive showing, but getting to 11-1 is going to come with some nights you just gotta get it done.

From what I can tell, Montreat is a D2 school and has a decent record, so they can probably play a bit.

There is nothing on the BSA Wellness schedule for February 5th but the Furman game. I wonder why the change to BJU?

Everything I see says D2, but does it really matter?

When PC, Newberry and Wofford moved from NAIA to D2, it was a lateral move. They all moved in part because the NCAA paid playoff expenses. Over time, the NAIA has lost many schools, but its best sports teams are still D2 level. It's probably an economical alternative for schools that do not deem D2 playoffs in large sports, i.e, ones with large travel parties, likely. They can afford a golf or tennis team. -- MD

They are division 2 NAIA not NCAA. They compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference an NAIA D2 league.

We need to be knowledgeable about matters such as this. Yes, it does really matter. Thank you to apaladin.

So, based on the latest court ruling, one could play four years at Montreat and then transfer to a NCAA school with four years of eligibility left.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
