Our last four wins have been by 5 (Seattle,) 3 (FGCU,) 6 (Princeton,) and 4 (SCState.) Samford has been better on offense but the Paladins have been much better on defense. We have allowed 60 ppg in our last 5 D1 wins. Samford has allowed over 73 ppg in their last 5 D1 wins. Their margins of victories have been better, but against slightly lower rated opposition. Their margins of victory have helped them in rating systems that use margin of victory as an important component. Our tendency to win close games hurts our ratings.

The Samford - Arizona game could be a good chance for Samford to pick up an upset. Arizona has not defeated a top 100 rated team this season. their highest rated win was over Davidson, which is slightly below Samford in the KenPom ratings.

Yep Samford at Arizona will tell us something about how tough they could be or not be.................

Not so fast my friend. Last year we lost to an AU team that had a losing record without Pegues. This team is 9-5 and scoring a lot of points and we are without pjay and Johnston. After last years debacle take nothing for granted.

I am not one bit worried....
We are tons better this season that last season........
Montreat lost to a bad (4-7) UT Martin team by 52 already......
We will win EZ, guaranteed by 20+ (probably more) no doubt ;)

Montreat lost to Columbia International, a team we beat by almost 60 points in our first game. A game, I might add, that neither PJ nor Charles Johnston played in.
While I'm not one to take anything for granted either, I'd suggest popping a few Tums and enjoying the ride.
