I feel good about tomorrow because we have nothing to lose and MUCH to gain if we come out on top.

All I ask is that we play hard and don't self-destruct.
Not to argue but what is the MUCH to gain if we come out on top? We could finish 5th instead of 8th or 9th but big whoop. Just hope to play well win or lose.
The "much" to gain is a victory over the best team we beat all season. And, winning begets winning.

Apaladin's question reveals a common mindset. I don't think of it as a bad mindset, or wrong. But I would say it is not one that leads to happiness.

Yes, our goal every year is to win the Southern Conference. That is a lofty goal. The nature of a lofty goal is failure.

I didn't see any score predictions for the Mercer game. I think this is due to the gulf between hope and expectations. I set one forth anywho - FU28, Mercer 17.

Agree but not sure winning or losing the last game of a season has anything to do with the following season.

Maybe it does or does not, but winning has a lot to do with the game we're playing today.

By the way, it does matter for next year (morale, recruiting, mojo, etc). But we're not in next year yet. This is today. This day is the time we're presently living in.

Looked pretty good in the 1st quarter. Freshman QB makes a dumb mistake. Freshman CB gets burned.

Not sure what happened on that pick 6. Did Hedden try to flip the ball over his shoulder or was the ball stripped from him? It sure looked deliberate to me. If so, that is beyond stupid.

Not much support from the Mercer faithful for a top ten playoff bound team with sole chamoipnship on the line. Their side is half empty.

Our punts are taking too long to get off. First time I’ve really seen this.

Their QB stares down some receivers but completes it anyway as the WRs get open

Busted play and it looked like Hedden just tried to flip it to a Furman player and the ball went straight up.

Hedden's got talent, but he's got to take care of the football. Sometimes the play just isn't there and the best thing you can do is nothing.

The main difference in this game to me is LOS. As always. Watch those last drives of each team right before half. Despite some running success by us Mercer ran a beautiful METHODICAL drive with several great 5+ runs ending with a tight end TD. reminded me of old school Furman drives. Mercer can run more consistently…. That’s the ball game

Mercer is getting in our backfield too much

To our point of Mercer kickoffs. We did get one back to the 29 and one near the 40. Anyway some past the 25. That’s a concern for a playoff team. Because teams much more talented than us are coming for Mercer …
