Random notes on Charleston Southern, picked 5th pre-season in the Big South:
Leading scorer Kelly (16ppg) is a 6'7 Sr and the only player on the roster other than the Freshmen that did not transfer in. Pre-season 1st team All Big South pick.
Berry is 2nd leading scorer (12ppg). 6'4 G, RSSr transfer from Charlotte.
Other starters: Johnson RSJr 6'1 G (10ppg) transfer from Holy Cross a couple years ago. Pre-season all Big South 2nd Team. Jones 6'10 Jr F ((10ppg) transfer from Florida Southwestern.
Camara Jr 6'7 F transfer from Frank Phillips College started against LSU and played 26 minutes.
Oden (8ppg) has 5 starts but DNP against LSU. Couldn't find out why he DNP.

LSU game, they played 7 man rotation:
Kelly 40 min.
Berry 39 min.
Johnson 38 min.
Camara 26 min.
Jones 23 min.
Harris 17 min (transfer from Ga Southern)
Olalere 15 min. (RSFr)

A guard Wilkens (8ppg) has 3 starts but DNP against LSU.
Chas Southern beat the Morris College Hornets of Sumter, SC 108-50. SC State beat Morris College 137-55.

Based on the season so far I think the scouting report on Furman is we have at least 5 guys that can really shoot it, especially Smith and Anderson.

So the opposition game plan will be to cover those guys like a blanket and make FU beat you with the inside game. And that might open up some dribble drive opportunities.

CBR and staff will know this and I will be interested to see how they approach it.
