DO these have eligibility for next year? I thought not with Xavier, but he reads as a "True" Sr with a redshirt year left??

40 Xavier Stephens ?

the TE Burrell from Florida State? 11 joshua Burrell? could he redshirt this year since he was injured so early?

Burrell my understanding is he has a year of eligibility left since he essentially DNP this year.

X we will need to get an injury waiver from either the league or the NCAA or both (unsure that process). We are hopeful but you never know. My understanding is if we get the waiver he wants to play next year.

CCH said Burrell could be ready in a couple of weeks if we were still playing. He said he would be back next year. We have a good group at TE.

Preseason press release stated Burrell had two years of eligibility remaining. He would at least be available next season and, I guess, could seek a medical waiver as he played very little this season.

The nice thing about our TE and receiving corp is that they should all want to stay and play with Hinton. He is very talented and throws a great ball and his decision making is improving by the week.

FUATT has done made a mis-take. A fumble. and appreciates his teammates holding him accountable.

FUATT will go back and look at the film, work harder in practice on corrections and focus more on the little things so he can be a better contributor and help the team win.

This will be happening at most P5 & G5 schools, FUBeAR believes …

Now, most of these kids will be the bottom 25-30 or so kids on their rosters, which means 99% of them cannot play at the FCS level, but 100% of them will believe they can. And, most of them will actually be real students, so we might be able to get them in school and they could be successful academically at FU.

But … 1% is 3 kids who might be able to help FU … or another FCS program. FUBeAR is certain our Coaches and Staff will be all over this. It’s Diamond in the rough mining time and nobody does <F>’s better than we do. Looking forward to see if this 1 aspect of all of the court-determined insanity that has and/or may negatively impact FCS Football can provide us with some benefit.

So after shouting foul for 3 years, you like the portal now. :)
This was my prediction and why I wanted the portal.

Never shouted “foul.”

May have shouted “fair compensation “ - paid from acquiring school to departed school - exactly as occurs when Coaches (on contract) move from one program to another.

Do feel foul for the, possibly, 10,000 student athletes whose lives will be completely disrupted, against their wills, as a result of all of this litigation.

But, hey, you wanted it. Screw those 10,000 kids !

Oh…here’s another thing you may have wanted…

Rogue, non-employees, can now install themselves, on their own capricious whims, as the de facto Presidents of universities. That’s awesome!

Does the phrase Academic Eligibility apply at all anymore. Is going to class still a requirement?

No never said that at all. The NCAA heard the noise years ago and instead of doing a little at a time to move to this
point, they waited for litigation that forced them to drop the bomb.
10k player bloat just shows how much the big schools were hogging up players that may have been starters in FCS.

As far as outside donors influencing university staff, to me this is old news; but now they can show their faces.
