I’m not a football player or coach. I’m just a lifelong Furman fan. Today was unacceptable but not because we lost. Today was unacceptable because we beat ourselves with a level of play that disqualifies us from being a competitive football program. There is no focus, intensity, or passion. My one positive note is that we finally surpassed 100 yards rushing. I would also recommend that Carson Jones remain quarterback. He clearly has more to offer. Go Dins.

Haven't seen any improvement in this team...no center QB confusion..this game meant nothing to any of us as the season has been over for a while..hard to see anything positive with this program going forward...we are in the darkness

You all must have a master's degree in hyperbole and overreaction.

We were a top 5 team last year, and now are playing mostly freshmen and are three or four deep at a bunch of positions due to injuries. Virtually our entire defensive front seven two deep is freshmen. That's not the "darkness." That's a really young and inexperienced football team.

We looked better today than we have. 400+ yards of offense, 200 yards rushing, nearly 30 minutes of possession, defense played well, etc. Those are things we haven't seen this season.

The bottom line, we cannot continue to go minus three or four on turnovers every game and expect to beat anyone.

Hard to find anything good out of this other than watching33, 1 and 15 keep us in the ball game.I have to say I have never seen a slower shotgun snap ( at any level). Our timing is off from the get go. We had a bye week and evidently this wasn’t addressed . I sincerely believe in CCH being the right man for us but it is just hard to fathom how this can happen game after game. We have some really good young talent but honestly we are just physically outmatched playing as many youngsters as we do.

I understand that clearly not wearing the same thing after the week is important to someone but I am sad every time I see the non-traditional uniforms.

The team had spririt and fought. Hopefully next year they will be better.

As a friend pointed out, three turnovers, but also missed two FGS and had two turnover on downs. That's 7 drives that essentially ended in turnovers.

If Furman HAS to do this, I thought they looked pretty good and I've liked the alternative uniforms in general this year. However, I'm never going to be think the non-traditional uniforms look better and I'm going to be sad every time I see them.

When you think the embarrassments can’t get any worse, you lose to an 0-8 team that’s trying to give you the game. There has to be someone on campus that can snap a freaking football!!!

I really do not get it. I’m shocked the OC didn’t make the change at C himself. I went looking for some exemplary snaps in high leverage situations. Here are our 3 centers. 51 is a lineman we need on the field, but I’m not sure his snaps get the play started how we need it to when we are really struggling.

I love your optimism, I really do and wish I could be the same but the reason we looked better today is because we were playing a terrible winless team on our same level.
