Anyway. Did I just hear we DONT HAVE ONE RUSHING TD ALL YEAR ? Is this Furman? WTH ? As Furman DNA says. “You have to be able to RUN to win”

We RAN for 300+. 400+ and 300+ yards vs Western the last three years. Citadel ran for 250 on Western last week. I had hoped we would get AT LEAST 150 rushing but maybe not - all I wanted was half what we usually do. HALF.

Man our DBs cannot cover ANYTHING today. Everytime Gonzalez slings it I expect to see them catch it. Gonzalez is about to cross FIVE HUNDRED YARDS PASSING on us. FBS Clemson and USC don’t do that !!!!!!!!!. Think about that. WCU is passing better than Clemson on us.

Dam. ANOTHER GREAT PASS CATCH FOR TD - so embarrassing UTC and WCU from SoCon having to call off dogs and take it easy on poor little Furman purples. Good grief.

Tough stuff for Furman right now with the injuries and youth. Hard to sit through it, but these young guys will get a lot better. I remember several season where it seemed like half the guys Western had on the field were FR or RS FR. Hendrix is a helluva coach and he’ll get to work on your running game - it is just going to take time.

No doubt Bell wanted to get to 50. His message from last week was this team needed to get more of a step on your opponent’s throat mentality. I think this was just bad timing for Furman and your injuries to be playing Western.

WCU Qb came into this game on the year with 5 TD's and 7 INT's

Today he got 620 yards and 5 TD's with no picks lol

Last week citadel 274 yds rushing vs. WCU. Today FU with 55 on 37 carries, basically one yd. per attempt.

Yes I know we are young. Yes I know we have injury issues.

But we are horrible. Everyone associated with this program should be tremendously embarrassed by the last couple of weeks.

And the worst part is there is no reason for optimism of any sort.

Glad I skipped making the drive out to Paladin Stadium today.

No they won’t. There are some things that experience can’t fix. It’s going to be a long road back to any semblance of respectability. The cupboard is bare.
