Tennessee just anniunced starting in 2025 they will be adding a 10 percent talent fee to all tickets to help pay players. So we get to contribute to the UT payroll in 2026. That’s nice. 😳

10% of what?
Why don’t they just add an X $ fee?

10% of the current ticket price (so, if the current price is $100, the new price is $110) PLUS a perennial annual increase, whatever that may be.

Talent includes the Tennessee team as well as the opposing teams coming to Neyland.
ETSU's 2025 contract to play at Neyland, and Furman's 2026 contract to play at Neyland, should be adjusted upwards according the the additional amounts Tennessee will be charging on their tickets for Talent.
(So sorry that Chattanooga did not get the Talent fee benefit this year for their 66 point loss at Neyland, and so sorry that Kent State did not get the Talent fee benefit this year for their 71 point loss at Neyland.)

The “talent” lies in an athletic department that is able to bamboozle people into parting with thousands (or hundreds of thousands) of their dollars to pay to watch rental players (who may spend only 1 semester residing near “their” campus) be lavishly paid to go .500 and play in the Gasparilla Bowl, and for the privilege of fighting hours of snarled traffic, park a country mile from the stadium, then jostle elbows with 100,000 (other) rednecks for 3 hours, pay $15 for a warm beer, before making the endless trek back to their vehicle, and sitting in snarled traffic for another hour…and then subject themselves to that same extortional punishment as little as 7 days later, 7 or 8 times each Fall.

NO THANK YOU!
