What an awesome win for the team. It's early, but we are now officially a basketball school.
It’s been that for a while now but we just didn’t want to admit it.

Fantastic win. Deserved win. Bothwell played like a champ, Hunter so good and consistent. Hien's best game as a Paladin. Slawson didn't score much but added needed defense with 9 rebs 2 steals and 2 blocks.Foster had 7 rebs to help us win the rebounding battle.

Glad we did not fold late and finally get over the hump and win one of these big games. We had every opportunity to do so.

Hope we can develop some of these other players as we need more depth.

Bothwell is a stud and almost unstoppable when he brings his A game.

Now that I got that out of my system -- what I love about this win is this:

Furman was on fire from 3 early.

Then we got cold.

But we stayed in the game while we were cold.

I've seen us lose games to bad SoCon teams because we were cold.

Being cold for a stretch didn't kill us tonight.

Go Paladins!

Love the win! CBR and the guys make us proud! But I must have missed something , We've won how many Socon BB championships in the last 40 years?

Last time FU football beat a power team was 1999 UNC, I would know I was there, last good football team we had at FU was 2005, been slow downhill since then and now it seems mostly dead and boring

Basketball has been climbing every single year since SoCon championship game loss in 2015, new milestones being met each year, hopefully this is the year we get over the hump and punch our ticket to NCAA's!

Bottom line basketball has been way more exciting the past 7 years than football at FU and is primed for bigger things moving forward!

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
