Bothwell having a year...50% from 3 should fit nicely in our system.

Michael Bothwell, Cornerstone Christian: 2016 News-Herald Player of the Year scored 25 points in Cornerstone’s 67-60 win at Mentor in double overtime. Scored 22 points in the second half and overtimes to help the Patriots overcome a double-digit deficit in the second half. The 6-foot-4 Furman commit averages 25.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. Shoots 50 percent from 3-point range.

If Bothwell is hitting 50% on threes that is remarkable. His video highlights show him shooting and hitting from further out than Jordan Lyons on some of those attempts.

Jaden Hameed led the Vikings with 21, Khalil Mitcham scored 16 and Jerry Higgins finished with 12”

Lost in a lot of this is the caliber of teams Mike Bothwell is playing against. CCA is a VERY small private school on the Eastside of Cleveland (D-IV). He's playing against D-I and D-II powerhouse teams like Mentor, Solon, VASJ (2017 D-III state champs), Brush, Garfield Heights, St. Eds, Gilmour (D-III), etc. They will likely be a top seed in the upcoming State tournament. Mike's getting incredible experience against top competition.

Andrew Taylor is averaging 28.9 ppg and 10.4 rebs.

Jaylon Pugh's Cartersville HS team won their first game in the Georgia AAAA state tournament by 73-35 over Heritage HS of Catoosa. The second round should be a tougher task against higher seeded Blessed Trinity HS. Pugh had 15 in the rout.

The Harlan Green Dragons gave the Corbin Redhounds a game in the second half, but newly-named Mr. Basketball candidate Andrew Taylor and his 36 points helped lift the Redhounds to a 76-58 victory on Senior Night.

Corbin (20-7) started the game with some confidence and a 14-2 run by seniors in the first three minutes.

Andrew Taylor had a big game with 29 points, 19 rebounds, and 9 assists as Corbin beat Jackson County HS in the Kentucky 13th regional playoffs tonight 67-47. That's a lot of rebounds for a 6'2" point guard.

Cartersville and Jaylon Pugh's season ended with a loss to Baldwin HS in the Georgia AAAA Elite 8 round though.

Mike Bothwell and Cornerstone CA have a first round bye in their playoff and play in a couple of days.

Jalen Slawson's Pinewood Academy lost in the state semi-finals in their playoffs.

Has anyone else noticed we have Mounce from Mt. Airy (real life Mayberry, NC) and an Andrew (Andy) Taylor?
