This is being reported all over twitter. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Seeing lacrosse gone too.

Are you saying Lacrosse is gone too or you are you saying you could see it being cut?

What's next? Disturbing, yet not surprising. How does all of this affect title IX?

Man. This is rough.

Here’s what catches my eye (paraphrase). “this pandemic merely accelerated what we were planning to do anyway with the Furman advantage”. That scares me

The 2 year anniversary. I posted in the other thread but didn’t realize today is the 2 year anniversary until I looked it up. So sad. Thanks ED.

Again there was absolutely no reason to cut baseball or lacrosse. Thanks ED.

I’m most definitely in the “bring back baseball “ camp. I’m just trying to understand these numbers. Wofford costs $65,000 a year. Are scholarships not considered an “operating expense”? Or can we assume that every Woffy player is on an academic scholarship? Or their partials are just that small?

These figures seem to be ONLY basic operating expenses and would not include other fixed costs such as coaches salaries and athletic scholarships.

This brings up the old question. Are scholarships a real cost?

They seem to high for that. Uniforms, bats and balls might cost $5000-not $500,000. Seems like the operating costs would be about the same as HS if not for salaries. But on the other hand, these numbers seem too low to include scholarships. 10 scholarships would be about $300,000 most places (over $600,000 at FU). So I think those numbers cover everything but scholarships.

Just looked it up and the expenses listed are strictly "Game-Day" expenses and do not include salaries, scholarships, or recruiting expenses.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
