Just an interesting unrelated note, Reynard Ellis will now be suiting up for Georgia Southern.

As much as I dislike GSU, I'm happy he found a home. I'm sure he will be very good for them because he was certainly a stud as a freshman for the Paladins. I believe he has to sit out a year right?

Almost assuredly he'll have to sit a year. He didn't redshirt at Furman, so probably no real season "lost" for him with the move.

One of the more peculiar roster moves I can remember following Furman football.

We need a “non-Morehead” guy to step up at tailback. Morehead had 95 carries last year for 618 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also had 16 receptions for 157 yards.

Wynn had 17 carries, Luke 15, and 1 touchdown between them (Luke’s long run against Wofford). I said last year that Furman is going to need to find someone to complement Morehead out there, add balance, and force defenses to defend speed to both sides of the field.

100% agree. We need more speed to threaten both edges.. need to be able to fake it to Morehead and toss to the 'other ' guy. This became apparent against the better defensive fronts we faced (Elon, Woff, Samford) - we just couldnt get the edge much. also if Morehead goes down... you need two speed backs or it gets tough
