COFC plays small ball in the bottom of the 8th to move runners to 2nd and 3rd. Unlike FU who failed 5 times in this situation, the next batter up gets a hit and scores 2 runs, and the Paladins lose again 3-1. Paladins hit their season average of striking out 10 times. Another good pitching performance wasted from Dunleavy.
The Paladins hitting is bad, really bad.
The Paladins have a total of 134 hits all year, averaging 8.3 hits per game.
The Paladins have struck out 160 times all year, averaging 9.4 K's per game.
The Paladins have scored 3 runs or less in 10 of 17 games.
In todays college game I think it would be hard to find a weaker offensive team.
Now 5-12.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
