Clay said again he likes this team a lot. Excited that this is game week.
This will be his most veteran team but there has been a lot of competition for positions.
Mentioned the young players (freshmen) competing.

Clay mentioned he wants to play physical football (this was mentioned in relation to the o-line).
Described the o-line as a veteran group with depth. A little bigger than Furman has been in the past but still athletic.
Sees the running back group as the key part of the offense, but also mention we now have playmakers at several positions.
Hamp is the QB, I trust Clay here and he feels Sisson is exactly what Furman looks for in a QB.
Also mentioned Jack Hardin, now #2 and getting good reps.
I didn't get to listen to all of the conversations about defense.
Clay did mention the linebackers as a talented group.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
