Yes. The old one was just a chain link fence with hedges behind it, very unsafe for the players. The padding was put in to, of all things, protect the players.

Title 9 has gotten out of hand. A private school should be able to have as many sports as they damn well please.

Title IX was conceived when only around 30% of college degrees went to females. It was intended to balance the opportunity. Now close to 60% of college degrees go to females. Title IX has outlived its usefulness.

Nope there was padding that was a darker purple and FURMAN BASEBALL in big letters. It was there for several years, All that light purple padding is new.

I have 2 daughters, I like girls sports, and I know that these girls pictured mean no ill will, but seeing these girls playing soccer on the ex-baseball field ticks me off somewhat and is a little disrespectfull to all the FU baseball alumni.

Kind of like the white man playing around on top of an old Indian burial ground.
