Three more for Mercer.

Kyle Cuffe, Jr. 6'2" 188 guard transfer from Syracuse. Started out at Kansas. but only played in two games before going to Syracuse. Averaged 3 and 5 ppg in two years with the Orange. Had some solid games in the start of the season - a half dozen games in double figures and played 15-20 minutes per game but his playing time and scoring declined later in the season. His better games were against the lower half of the ACC. Was 0-8 against Duke and 0-5 against UNC. Went 0-8 in two games in the ACC tourney.Had a bunch of high major offers in high school including UCLA and Connecticut.

Baraka Okojie, 6'1"192 transfer who played one year at Memphis after one year at George Mason. Scored 8 ppg as a freshman but less than 2 ppg this season. Playing time dropped from 24 Minutes per game to 11. Still played in 31 games this season. Native of Brampton, Ontario,Canada. Near Toronto.

Lewis Rowe 6'10" 260 lb grad transfer comes in from St. Edwards Univ.in Austin, Texas . He began at VMI, then transferred to New Mexico junior college then to Sam Houston State, then to St.Edwards. Native of Adelaide, Australia. Averaged 13 ppg and 6 rebs. at St. Edwards.

Most SoCon schools looking for shooters. Mercer seems to be looking for strong, athletic guards and size up front.
3 players & 11 schools (counting Mercer for each).

What hath WE wrought?
What WE hath wrought is a ****** up mess that make no sense. If I were head of the NCAA.... OK, fine you can pay players but don't "like" your school after year one then you can transfer without sitting out a year. After that if you transfer you got to sit out a year. 3 transfers max. Example: Player signs with UNC and plays 1 year, then transfers to Duke and plays one year, then transfers to Wake Forest, and has to sit out year 3. Then plays year 4 and 5 at Wake and is done. The year out counts as a redshirt year.

I read an article about a week ago that came from an idea the late Mike Leach had. Athletes would choose one of 2 paths when they signed. One was the "Student Athlete" path with its set of rules. And the other was something called the "Professional Player Development" path with a different set of rules. I can't remember where the article came from or all the details. I bet FUBeAR with all his internet and tech skills could find it and post it?

It made so much sense I doubt it could ever make it thru the legal challenges and ever be implemented.

Yeah, anything reasonable will be met with lawsuits. At some point colleges will be asking themselves how closely they want to be tied to a professional athletic entity. Clemson vs Green Bay Packers anyone?
