Good to start 1-0, makes the game Friday a little more exciting. Loved the defensive effort in the second half. Disappointed in the 3 point shooting 6-25 but that hopefully will improve.

Kinda surprised that we played only 7 players(except 4 mins from Pugh) and none of the freshmen saw action. Not a big fan of the silver and black unis but not a big deal. Can't wait until this weekend. Friday basketball and Saturday football. :D :D :D

Marcus Foster was in street clothes. Not sure what that’s about.

Looks like we played 8 last night, not 7. Thats typical for a lot of programs in the country to be in an 8 man rotation. From information I’ve been given, BR really wants to try and redshirt 2 of the freshman. Lawrence for sure and potentially Foster. Kenney and Beeker are being prepared to play in the event needed.

Well if we are counting Pugh playing 4 minutes, then we might as well count Beeker's one minute of play too... So 9 by your count.

We really only played 7 guys and even though we may have the most talented starting 5 in the conference, we won't be able to sustain success with that playing time all season. Someone (or two) will have to step up big.

Pugh wasn’t afraid to shoot it while he was out there. Wonder if that’s been his direction from the coaches? You might not get a ton of minutes, but we want you shooting while you’re out there.

He has been filling it up in practice, so i expect him to have the green light. Actually, they all do. Slawson and Gurley both made 3's last night. When those guys can step out there and do that, it makes us that much more dangerous.

We will play 8 on most nghts i think. Pugh's minutes will go up. Interested to see if Kenney gets any meaningful time.

Lawrence they already said is a redshirt. I am guessng they might want to do that with one other if they can. That would be huge long term.

As far as someone needing to "step up big" --that's what will make this team interesting to watch. That starting 5 has a bunch of a weapons. One guy is locked down? Fine, throw over it there to the next guy.

I agree. I think there are several guys on the team that could be the guy on any given night ... AKA 20+ points. That'll be huge in conference and potential postseason play.

Foster seemed like a logical redshirt to me given that he's a year younger than most freshmen.

And more generally, redshirting is a critically important tactic for mid-major programs, when possible.

Could someone please give me the link for the Live Stats of tonight's game? I can't find it on the new website. Last year there was a link at the top of the writeup of the game. I did a search off of furmanpaladins.com, and got the message 404, page not found. Thanks in advance.
Off of Furmanpaladins.com
