Correct. Artis played at Gardner-Webb for Eddie Holbrook and at Jacksonville for Joe Williams. Artis is also the answer to the question of who was the #1 pick in the NBA ABA dispersal draft when the ABA disbanded. (David Thompson's team was joining the NBA, so DT was ineligible for the draft.) On a personal note, I saw Artis play in person for the Chicago Bulls and he was a gigantic man.
However, the biggest human whom I have ever seen is Geoff Crompton from UNC whose hand I shook when I was 13.
