The point is bseeball is the only major sport of the 3 where the littke guy can routnely can compete and beat the big boys. FU does not have baseball thanks to ED.
The point is that your definition of “routinely” differs from mine and probably from most peoples. If we routinely beat the big boys, as YOU say, we’d have a whole lot more conference championships, NCAA Tournament wins, and trips to Omaha on our historical records.

Enough with your ED problem. Take it up with the Furman Board of Trustees. Otherwise, go to Spartanburg to watch your Terriers play.
Or, otherwise, go to Hawaii or Gonzaga - go far!
There are about 300 others that you can choose from.
Or, otherwise, go to SMU, North Texas, Tulsa, Chattanooga, Northern Arizona, Boise State, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Eastern Washington, Colorado, and many other places, and gripe about those other fine schools not having baseball.

Looks like Woffy is going to win the regular season. Up 3 games with 4 to play and will be the favorite entering the SoCon tourney. Prolly will get an at large bid if they don’t win the tourney. Could have been us. Thanks ED.

Didn’t say FU said little guys. Beating the big boys doesn’t mean much as far ss ncaa tournament, or confetence championships. Still have to win the tournament. Although FU has had its share of big boy wins, The fact is the gap between the big boys and little guy is much less in baseball.

Hard to believe its been 2 years since we got the news that ED made the terrible knee jerk decision to end Furman’s 100+ year old baseball program without any thought whatsoever. 100+ year old baseball program gone in a blink of an eye. A very sad day in Furman sports history.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
