I think we have to also take into account the PWO commits. Paul and I have wondered if this a new strategy or do we just see them due to social media?

Carter Bir, QB
Luke Bynum, QB
Nicky Kuzemka, LB/LS
JR Schroeder, LB
Jackson Soapes, OL
Wyatt Hughes, OL
Nick Vivona, OL
I'm pretty sure there is another local PWO commit out there too.

I'm missing another OL PWO and I'm pretty sure there is another local PWO commit out there too.
Nick Vivona is another PWO, and I thought the QB from St Joseph had committed as well.

Vivona is the one I missed 'thanks' Bynum is from SJCS

The backup NG Parker Stokes is still on roster as is the Fr NG from last year Cam Coleman.

So is Taylor Hodge the 5-9 DT that I enjoy watching. And Matt Sochovka still on the roster too.

And the starter at DT Jonah Tibbs is now listed as DE
Right, the 4 returning DL should be Seabrook, Stokes, Tibbs and Hodge - they are all still listed on the roster as far as I can tell. And Sochovka is also who I am pretty sure played some before an injury

So I don't think we lost any DL unexpectedly

Well, we run a 3 man defensive front. We also have more "returning" players than that.

I think the defensive line is going to need to keep up its depth and then hope that guys like London Lewis and Cam Coleman start working into the rotation. I think Alec Hanff also missed all of last season after seeing a lot of playing time in 2017.

I couldn't remember the QB's name. All I could recall was "gunslinger" and when I Googled the name didn't find him. I thought there were more PWOs, but when I looked I found a lot of offers but only Vivona as being committed.

I think Luke Bynum is the St. Joseph's kid. He's a QB.

I typed Jake instead of Luke… I think seven PWOs is a very good number. There are quite a few offers still out there.

New one I think is a PWO from Coleman Christensen, 5-11 200 LB, from Lovejoy , TX.

A footnote on the recruiting season is that we appear to now be recruiting Texas pretty significantly.

There are a lot of Furman students from Texas (or at least there were when I was there), but rarely a football player.

Coach Hendrix had TX as part of his Recruiting Area when he was at AF, because TX HS Football’s below-the-waist (at that time...not sure now) Blocking Rules were the same as the NCAA rules, one of or, maybe, the only State to have that...and he was the OL Coach at AF, so it made sense. They signed A LOT of OLmen from TX. I’m sure he built strong HS relationships there leading to the opening of bit of a pipeline of talent there that was previously untapped.

Another, I'm assuming PWo, commitment. Dan Scianna, 5-11 197 4.55LB, from Frankfort, IL.

He lists it as a PWO - that said Scianna looks good on film. Plays fast and hits hard.

Tweet from Coach Vaughn saying Furman got a commitment from a CB this week end. Allusion to Coach Bratton pipeline indicates it's Kam Brinson, both being from Augusta.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
