The backup NG Parker Stokes is still on roster as is the Fr NG from last year Cam Coleman.

So is Taylor Hodge the 5-9 DT that I enjoy watching. And Matt Sochovka still on the roster too.

And the starter at DT Jonah Tibbs is now listed as DE

Just speculating but Deon Sanders may have given up football as he is on the baseball roster and was mentioned by CBH in his interview with Dan.

He was buried deeper than Jimmy Hoffa on the depth chart

This is true, but depth is depth.

Almost assuredly, Devonte Jones and his 300+ lbs frame is destined for NG.

Incidentally, with Tibbs moving to DE, I wonder if that means we are going to see London Lewis start working into the rotation.

Another great reason to have an early spring practice period. Rosters start shifting players make decisions to continue to play or leave the program. This gives the coaches the opportunity to address these things with recruiting.

It looks like Furman still wants a linebacker, a bandit-linebacker, a corner, a wide receiver, and another safety. The other piece of this is - Furman is bringing in recruits during a period that allows them to actually experience spring practice leading up to the Feb. signing day.

We should be looking for a QB.

This is one of those times where you have to accept that what I think is the SoCon’s best coaching staff knows what they are doing.

Besides, we have talented quarterbacks. What we don’t have is a ton of experience, which recruiting another freshman QB isn’t going to solve.

Q. Weems is a big loss IMO. Thought he was probably our best CB when he was healthy. Too many offseason losses.

Yep what once looked like a strong returning group is slowly shrinking into a problem area(s).

Are you guys the new WWF tag-team of worry, doubt, and depression? We don't throw enough; our receivers are too short and light; we don't have four scholarship QBs in the program so the next guy not seeing action can become the instant fan favorite; not enough depth here, there, and everywhere. Every year brings with it transfers and guys who decide four years is enough, thank you, and choose to graduate, which is still a goal of coming to Furman, correct? You'd think we were coming off a 3-8 season with problem areas everywhere instead of riding the tide of a SoCon title into the spring and beyond. Relax and let the coaching staff do what they obviously know how to do: recruit and coach.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
