To be effective you have to have the athletes. Occasionally, Western get maybe one really good one.

I agree.

Three receivers to one side of the formation is nothing new. However, nearly every time you see a team do that, you will also see a receiver or TE to the other side of the field. What is peculiar is to see the three receivers and TE to the same side.

Effectively, Furman ends up doing what they often try to do on offense—gain a numbers advantage to one side of the field. WCU doesn’t appear to recognize that Furman had an extra player to one side of the formation.

It’s nothing fancy, but it’s hard for a defense to diagnose that.
