4. Got some great offices by helping kill another sport.

Let's not forget there are 21 smart and bright young women that contribute to making Furman a better university by just being there.

At 7-2, with a head-to-head win over Campbell, they are the #3 seed in the Big South Tournament and take on #6 seed, Winthrop, this Saturday at Noon at FU. They beat Winthrop @ Winthrop in OT about a week ago. If FU wins, they’ll take on the #2 seed, Mercer, at 7 PM the following Friday in High Point (tourney host) in the semifinals. A win in that one and it’s on to the Championship game on Sunday vs. #1 High Point, #4 Campbell, or #5 Gardner-Webb. Then…on to the NCAA Tournament.

OK - they’re done now.

Though shellacked by Mercer (22-4) yesterday afternoon in High Point in the conference semifinals, making it that far and putting together a strong finish to an 8-8 / 7-2 season, with all of the changes, etc. is a dang solid showing.
