EVERY game we need to step on the field, own it, and dance in the opponent's guts until the final second ticks off. Enough with the playing not to lose. Stretching the field will open the running holes.

That kind of talk sounds tough and actually good, but it seems far removed from reality. We say we want to see that. We do want to see that. We do need to see that. How often do we actually see it? In fact, when we start talking like it's going to happen, our teams seem just as likely or more likely to fizzle out. Let's wait until they do it and then we'll talk about it.
