I’d expect Bronson to be our PG next year. He wasn’t fully recovered from his foot until March, and just like JP and PJay before him, the move from more a a SG to more of a PG should be doable. I also hear Alex Wilkins has the potential to contribute at that spot as a true Fr but as always, hard to tell until they get in for the summer.

I agree 100% Bronson at PG. Toward the end of the season his game looked solid all around. Love that Richey is bringing in lots of big versatile guards to go along with our twin towers in Bowser and Johnston.

I think the jury is still out on Bronson. Still need an experienced PG transfer but that may no longer be possible with the addition of Thomas. Bronson could end up being the only option. Roster needs to be updated.

I agree that the jury is still out on Bronson, but I know that the staff was really excited about him this year before his foot injury set him back. If he lives up to what he showed over the summer we should be ok.

Remember the jump PJay made last year to this year

Exactly. And remember all of our hyperventilating about whether Pegues could acceptably replace Alex Hunter? He did alright, too, as I recall.

Pjay did make a jump but Bronson’s will have to be much more than that of Pjay’s. Pjay was pretty much a 40% shooter both years and was a double digit scorer both years. (10ppg to 17ppg) and he was only playing with one other scorer this year compared to several the year before. Bronson needs to up his FG% by app. 10%(32-30%) and his ppg by 10. (5ppg). That will be a big jump but hope he can do it.

With a nice jump in development from Bronson and Bowser we’re going to be really good. I don’t think we even need Bronson to be as good as PJay was last season. Excited to see who else we can get from the portal…Samford’s new coach is wasting no time reloading.

Yes, no doubt. However PJ wasn’t battling an injury so that gives me hope, especially when combined with how Bronson finished the year. But you are fundamentally correct.

Ride with Bronson and Baba. I really think Baba will have a huge impact in his first year. To me he is college ready. Of course he will have to adjust, but to ME he is ready.

And a lot of fans are used to experienced players and Richey hasn't really used Freshman in the past but I'm high on him and ONeal making an impact.

Baba needs to work on his shooting this summer and same goes for Bronson and I’m sure that is the plan. Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t think we have ever had a 6’4” starting PG.
