So…Wake Forest, Furman, Belmont. If he portals to Liberty, pretty sure that’s considered batting for the traditional Baptist cycle.

Tex will know.

What a farce. I read today that a whole bunch of players are entering the transfer portal who have played 4 years. The reason "in case a lawsuit is filed enabling a rule change allowing players to play 5 years." I guess that's better than graduating and having to get a real job.

Baylor has lost their entire roster and UC San Diego has lost their entire starting lineup to the transfer portal.

Iconic program UNC has 5 players in the transfer portal, 2 who transferred in last year. The kids used to dream about playing for Carolina. Dean has got to be turning over in his grave.

There are going to be players that have gone to 4 different schools in their 4 year career.

I graduated in '76 and played 4 years. I think I am going to enter the transfer portal and petition the NCAA for a "waiver". Who knows maybe I can get one. And then I would stay at Furman. I would have to see if they have a graduate program in "wasting time on the golf course." I bet Coach Davidson would love to have a 71 year old on his team.

This post can be moved to General Idiocy. As a matter of fact the entire NCAA football and basketball programs can be moved to General Idiocy. :D

I wonder when the younger guys - in high school or just out - get lawyers to file a suit to let them have their turn. With slightly older players trying to hang around for 5th, 6th, 7th.... years there will be younger guys who won't get their turns to shine. And make money.

Hopefully he and others don't get another year because that would only increase the epidemic of guys who have played out their eligibility coming back year after year. If the extra year happens it wouldn't be this year

Samford adding some replacements for the guys who left.

Judson Bjornstadt 6'8" 200 forward coming in from Union College (D2.)
Jadin Booth, 6'2" guard, transfers from Florida Southern, was at Omaha before that.
Jaxon Pollard 6'7 215 forward played at Queens College.
Dylan Faulkner 6'9" 210 post player will follow the new coach Acuff from Lipscomb. He was injured for a good part of last year but appears to be a good pickup.

Western Carolina has signed Tidjiane Dioumassi, 6'5" shooting guard from Southern University.

Chattanooga signed Jordan Frison, 6'0" guard from D2 Pittsburg State.

Mercer picked up 6'3" Jaydon Cole, an actual high school senior from Milton GA. He had offers from Old Dominion and Radford.
They also get Quinton Perkins, 6'0" pg, who began at Tarleton State and then spent a year at a JC.

Since I mentioned him earlier - Denzel Aberdeen has quickly found a new home. He is headed from Florida to Kentucky.

Wofford transfer forward El Shakery is transferring to New Hampshire.
