High level, it seems like we are going to have a lot more depth and experience virtually across the board than we did last year.
Which doesn’t necessarily translate into better or good, but hope so. We need a lot of players to get a lot better from last year to be a better team this year.

I see both sides of it.

While I would love for Furman to have a North Dakota State model where they just reload every year, the reality is most of Furman's best seasons have come after rebuilding years.

The team has plenty of talent, but it was hard last year to make up for the loss of 40 someodd players and having a completely new two deep at most positions. You add to that a bunch of season ending injuries early in the year (some even before the season started) and it is a recipe for disaster.

Dudek I can live with. Moson hurts a little.

Seemed to have the most promise of the young guys in the secondary, but we weren’t good at all in the secondary last year, so might not be the worst thing to have a mostly new look this year.

Timing is a bit odd. Feels like someone got in his ear about getting on the portal or maybe he got beaten out by some of the new guys? Oh well.

I agree. Timing is odd, especially after spring practice.

I suppose it is not unrelated that Furman has three sophomore CBs (same class as Moson) that played extensively last season - Hysan Dalton, Darren Coleman, and Javaris Jones. Furman also brought in two transfer CBs in the offseason - Wesley Abraham and Eddie Jackson.

I do not know his rationale, of course, but we are a lot deeper at CB going into '25 than we were in '24 where we really didn't know who was going to fill out the depth chart.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
