Just to throw an example out there, Raheem Morris coaches the Atlanta Falcon's wide receivers. He had been a defensive coach (including a defensive coordinator in the NFL) for nearly 20 years when he switched to offense.
So, I doubt there's a situation where these guys are just standing around hoping someone knows something about playing safety.

surprised the only thing we have heard from spring is how many DC’s we can go through. No reports from coach on how things are going like the past?
Coaches leaving is part of the game - they come and go. The timing is the problem with these defections since we are in the middle of our spring/winter practice sessions. This may be the downside of scheduling these early sessions. Most teams start later and are still in the process of putting together their staffs before practice begins. If we lost these coaches before our practice began and had a chance to replace them, this would likely be a non event. I am sure CCH has a little black book of his own with people who will jump at the jobs available. Let's find the next genius-in-waiting and move right along. Forman football fortunes are not going to fall apart because the DB's are not coached for a few practices. Chill. Will try to confirm Williams leaving tomorrow.

Successful programs coaches are always in demand. CCH will get the right person in place. I like the early spring, building relationships within the team can be a great thing. CCH is highly connected to many folks. Everything happens for a reason. Good luck to these coaches as they move on with their careers.
It’s just spring practice. Don’t expect much news at all.
