as SD remembers, opening day was very nice, full of hope and anticipation.

Then the rest of the season was Excruciatingly Sad except for the hot dogs and the PbP by Dan S.

Your memories is not good. I remember the several wins over the Gamecocks plus other power programs, the games at Fluor field and the SoCon tournament.

The thing that is so frustrating about the absence of baseball at Furman is the empty beautiful facility that sits so prominently on campus.
It’s so unusual that in at least the past 60 years, Furman is the only Division 1 school in the South, with an on campus facility, that discontinued their baseball program.

Is it time to close the Furman sports baseball forum if we don’t actually have a baseball team? there’s not much to talk about except some people really wish we had a team again.

Hopefully when ED retires. She will turn 63 this year. She has a contract thru 2030 but hoping she retires before then. Let’s hope for an early retirement and wish her well. 🤞

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
