S.C.State lost at 12-1 Georgia 79-72. S.C.State was up by 17 at halftime before Georgia stormed back with a 55 point second half.
Belmont lost at undefeated Drake today by 19. I watched some of that game to get a comparison for the Paladins against Drake, who are one of the best mid majors. Also interested in seeing how Carter Whitt did. Tough game for him. Whitt had probably his best game ever the previous game against UC-Irvine with 25 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Today was a nightmare for him. 2 points, 0 assists, 8 turnovers in 17 minutes. He sat much of the second half. Interesting how the schedule worked out for Belmont. They have played three of the best mid majors - FU is 12-1, Irvine 10-2, and Drake still undefeated at 12-0 . Lost all three games - each one in a different manner. Belmont came from a double digit deficit against the Paladins to lead before PJ hit the winner. Belmont blew a 14 point halftime lead, which was still double digits midway through the second half against UCI. They fell behind by 20 in the first half today but could not come back.
Wichita State beat Friends University today by 15. Yeah, first time I ever heard of Friends U too.

A minute left but Tennessee is going to lose to Florida . The Vols were the last undefeated team in college basketball. they are going to lose tonight by about 30 points. The road can be tough.

Yep things happen but the number one team should never lose by 30. They had 26 points with 9 minutes left. They started the game and took almost 7 minutes to score. Shot 21%, 13.8% from 3 and 60% at the line. 30% of their points came in the last 5 minutes. Crazy. Just hard to believe an undefeated #1 team can be that bad. Just goes to show you how simple a game baskeball is. It either goes in or not.
