Outside of 5-0 FU, everyone else in SoCon now has at-least 2 losses

Based on the season so far I think the scouting report on Furman is we have at least 5 guys that can really shoot it, especially Smith and Anderson.

So the opposition game plan will be to cover those guys like a blanket and make FU beat you with the inside game. And that might open up some dribble drive opportunities.

CBR and staff will know this and I will be interested to see how they approach it.
Hien, Bowser and Johnston get it and take it to the hoop. Utilize their height and make the other guys defend it.

True dat. And I'm not saying we don't look for our 3 point shots but they may be harder to come by. A more productive inside game may be necessary going forward to offset the opposition's efforts to stifle our outside game. That IMHO will be the key to our getting to the next level.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
