We won by 3 points. That field goal was such an idiotic call.
Well, as Charlie Munger says- it’s mandatory that you know your circle of competence.
Non stop trashing of our team and coaches ,who are all working their ass off, is some people’s habit.
Real fans are supposed to support their program, even when we have a tough season.
The field goal was not but the 3 prior were not very good.

I’m just thankful that I’m at the game and can celebrate a good win despite our overall season. We killed ETSU’s playoff hopes. Now, let’s drop Mercer’s seeding a bit.

Congratulations to the Paladins for today's big win! The players and coaches have endured a very difficult season but they never quit. It wasn't perfect but the final score was.

QB played well within himself. Only 1 mistake. Young DB's come up with 3 interceptions. Loved that last drive keeping ETSU from getting the ball back.

I'm more optimistic about next year. We lose JJ, Dimaggio, Clark, Hundley, and Wilson. Anybody else? We have a lot of young players that have gotten a lot of PT this year that should be better next year. Plus the injured players that can come back.

The poster that said earlier we don't have any talent and doesn't like either QB is full of s***.

A huge loss will be kicker Ian Williams. There are other seniors that may or may not come back. Only started 4 seniors today, all mentioned above. There were several R-Jr’s that started today so don’t know how many of those will be back. Same for those injured earlier. Probably won’t know until the roster is updated at spring practice.

What an exciting game! Some various commentary:

* ETSU is a good team. This is the team that travelled after the hurricane for 24 hours on a bus from Johnson City to Charleston and beat The Citadel after zero sleep. They have character. The Paladins defeated a team with talent and character.

* It is oh so important for a team to "learn how to win", and this team knows how now.

* The power of our possum is greater than Darius Rucker and his Wagon Wheel.

* If apaladin ceased his absurd negativity I think something would be wrong with The Universe. Yes, he has grown on me. Like mildew. I look forward to his post hoc "I know better" commentary, confusing results with probability. Its like a low-brow interpretive dance.

Already throwing out negative vibes for next year. I almost feel sorry for you. Can’t even enjoy the moment and celebrate a huge win for our Paladins.

FUBeAR once dated a Low-Brow Interpretive Dance major…or she may have been a Neanderthal with dystonia. Either way…best to steer clear. Take it from FUBeAR.

I think CB Mo Perkins is a grad student. He’d be gone too.

Reality is good. I am looking forward to seeing us improve to 4 wins in 2025. Go Furman!

I was going to say I thought Williams had another year. That would be great!

Honestly, trying to project anything about next year right now is a little silly. There is so much turnover every year now, it’s hard to assume anything about any team until after the spring portal closes.

Some definite questions need to be answered about the run game though. We’ll see what the coaches do. I feel like if we’re going to run the RPO, Hedden or Jones is going to have to run it more to make it work in it’s current form.

In regards to the ETSU game, if Hedden played like that in a couple other games this year (more check downs), we might have won 1-2 more games. Some hope for the future. Hedden’s arm is good enough to make the big throws in time, but learning to take what is given and make the easy through is the best thing he can learn right now. Hopefully yesterday means he’s figuring that out. Jones was probably dealt a tough hand this year with the quick hook and the concussion. Figuring the QB spot out is hard sometimes. Tre Lamb took the blame for “botching” their QB position all year after the game yesterday. It’s not as easy as everyone makes it out to be if you don’t have a clear cut QB1.
