1. When will baseball return. It is time!
2. Will FU ever seek FCS games outside the immediate area like other SoCon teams have? Montanas, Dakotas, West coast, northeast? West of the Mississippi?
3. Why are longtime season ticket holders 30, 40, 50:years been given bottom of the totem pole priority when it comes to seatng in the new Timmons. I realze money talks but it’s not fair or right.

Last year you agreed to make all Furman podcasts available on all platforms (especially Apple Podcasts) . When will it happen?

When are you taking the AD job at Villanova?
Regarding the Villanova AD vacancy; Villanova's current interim AD; and Villanova's AD who left 3 months ago and who we think our AD could be a candidate to replace; HERE IS SOME INFO OF POSSIBLE INTEREST:
****On 8/29/2024, Mark Jackson, Villanova AD since 2015, was named AD at Northwestern University. Upon Jackson’s departure, University President Rev. Peter M. Donohue said he would work with the Board of Trustees and University leadership to plan for a national search to fill the position. Soon after, Lynn Tighe, in her 26th season at Villanova, was named interim AD and has continued in that capacity for the past 3 months.
Mark Jackson (born September 14, 1972) was the senior associate athletic director for the University of Southern California before being name to the Villanova AD job in 2015.
From Massachusetts, Jackson graduated from Colby College, where played football team. Jackson also received a master's from Trinity College (Connecticut). Jackson joined the New England Patriots' coaching staff under head coach Pete Carroll in 1998. Carroll was fired following the 1999, but Jackson stayed on with new head coach Bill Belichick's coaching staff through 2000. In 2001, Jackson rejoined Carroll, then the head coach at the University of Southern California, as the school's director of football operations and assistant athletic director, a position he held through 2005. Jackson was instrumental in building projects for the USC athletic program.
In 2006, Jackson served as Executive Senior Associate Director of Athletics at Syracuse University before being hired as Vice President of Athlete Development at the boxing development firm A2 Holdings.
Jackson was then hired by Oakland Raiders coach Lane Kiffin as the team's director of football development in 2007. After his time with the Raiders, Jackson returned to the USC athletic department before his selection as Athletic Director at Villanova in 2015. In his time at Villanova, the men's basketball program won two of their three NCAA titles, reaching the Final Four three times and winning the Big East Conference tournaments and five regular season championships.
On three occasions when the USC athletic director position became vacant (in 2016, 2019 and 2023), Jackson was named as a leading candidate for the position, owing to his experience at the school.
Jackson rejected the position in 2016 after Pat Haden left the role. In 2019, after Lynn Swann's resignation as USC AD, the Trojans were far enough along in their negotiations with Jackson that they were even exploring the details of his buyout with Villanova. However, Jackson rebuffed all mentions of returning to USC and remained at Villanova.

How is the new Commish doing? The conference lost the football games on the CW network and apparently won’t have any conference basketball games on espnu/espn2 like last year when we had 5. Is the new commish the blame for losing the tv deals?

“Last year you agreed to make all Furman podcasts available on all platforms (especially Apple Podcasts) . When will it happen?“

Not addressed. No idea why as it just would make it easier for people to access more Furman content. Apparently Dan knows how to do this as he does it w his personal podcasts.

Only Citadel and Furman are not televising their non d1 games. All other SoCon members are.

If it saves us money to use elsewhere in the Hoops budget its probably a good idea...

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
