Anyone heard about him leaving? Maybe I just missed it? A post on Instagram today sounds like he’s leaving or has left Furman
He is still on campus, but has entered the transfer portal
That is the same post I saw on Instagram. Thanks for the link! I don’t know how to post linksPaladinDad wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 6:46 pm

Cam was a good player, last season he didn't have the season many of us expected. So, I'm not sure it's a 'big loss.'

No question that Cam is a very talented pass catcher. The system is the thing though and this one is not very good for players looking to put up big numbers. We spread it around too much for any one guy to get a lot. He may well turn it to be a big time receiver at a place that runs a pro style offense. I hope he finds it. It would be funny if he winds up at Wofford where they throw it once a month or so.PaladinDad wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 7:42 amI think this is the root of why he left. In the system that we run, things that he was good at didn't fit what we wanted to do. Couple that with how we use our tight ends and running backs, and it just wasn't a good marriage. I received some push back on here earlier in the season when i said from the players perspective the QB best option in order was Harris, Darren, Jamar, and then Hamp. It played out that i wasn't wrong. I will probably get more push back on this, but if you ask any player on the team it was no doubt who the most talented receiver on the team was. Again not who fit the system best, but who was the most talented. I wish him well and have nothing bad to say about him.
Thank you for proving my point, Jackal. Avg of 188 lbs for those you listed vs. 177 lbs for our current lineup. The Jackal wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 5:49 amBrian Bratton 5'10 185

Did you noticeably leave off Logan McCarter - 6'2 and Andy Shumpert - 6'5, who was a TE but used more as a receiver. But regardless, our receivers are small both height wise and weight wise. The Jackal wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 5:49 amBrian Bratton 5'10 185

Tell that to Calvin Johnson or Randy Moss. And actually the fade route (among 21 red zone passing routes) has the third highest TD rate (corner and seam are 1 and 2), and has a lower INT rate than the top 2.
