Honest question

Reading the game thread some think we can still win 4-5 games this season.

After today’s debacle I told my family I’ll be surprised if we win another game this season if we continue to play the way we did today.

Who do you think we can beat that’s still on our schedule?

Can’t beat Samford as we won’t play them. VMI a tossup, WC and ETSU highly unlikeky. We also lost another DT today.

The word “can” is different from “will”. We “can” beat every team on our schedule. Will we? No. But we can.

This season, so for, resembles last years bball season.

High expectations from previuos years performance, loss of key players and significant injuries.

Middle was open all game and they never hit the tight ends..so obvious it is unbelievable..no idea what they were thinking...lost

I’ll try another way of looking at it. I do think Western is in there somewhat. We will be underdogs but we can win

MOST LIKELY WINS IN ORDER-
1). VMI. - clearly weakest team left. I think
2). Samford if played. I hope we do play em as we need practice. Though my gut says it’s not rescheduled but I have no inside knowledge. It would have to be Thanksgiving I guess
3). Wofford. Improving yes. Not world beaters
4). Western. I think this is easier than ETSU. For one it’s at home. But I honestly don’t think WCU is as good as ETSU. ETSU can run the ball nasty

One note here as next game. Citadel. Who could NOT run on us well - though we had a few more key players then. … like two more DTs and maybe Luke Clark !! Ran for basically 50 attempts for 5.5 per attempt for 275 on Western. That sounds like the old Western Matador run defense I like

5). ETSU. on road. Run the ball well I think. Hung right. With Chatt. Some holdover players are Learning a new system and will be late in year
6). Mercer. Look like best in conference. On road. Best thing for us here is its last game so we ahouod be better
