MU and WC tied at 3 in the second. FU should have played but oh well. Should at least play tomorrow but we know they won’t. Citadel pushed kickoff back to 5pm to accomodate ETSU. It would have been easy for others to cancel but they made it work.
SOCON WEEK 5
Wofford QB Odom throws 3 consecutive INT’s (the 1st in the end zone, the 2nd a pick 6) and Mercer is now up 22-3 in the 4thQ.
Campus is a wreck ,power off for at a minimum 2 or 3 more days, trees dangling over campus roads, numerous roads to campus blocked by downed power lines, no working traffic lights in area… this may be your worst post and that is saying something.

Mercer starting QB DJ Smith went out early with an ankle injury. Backup Hess Horne (RS Junior/Missouri State transfer) played most of the game and played pretty well.
Mercer looks strong. Especially on D. Even can catch the ball !!
All those DBs that drop easy INTs on every team. Dam if Mercer DBs don’t catch even the tough ones. I’ve rarely seen a team with DBs who catch the ball so well. Very small sample size for sure. But the overall D was GREAT for Mercer. Wofford had about ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY YARDS TOTAL. WOW. That’s nasty !!!!!!! A complete shutdown. I think Mercer had the game in hand after scoring 12 or 15. And Wofford may well be top 3 in SoCon. I don’t know. But Mercer looks tops to me so far mercer did lose their QB for an ankle (duration?) as wel as a a good RT transfer from Youngstown State
