UNCG's senior guards Alonzo and Troy combine to hit just over 40%. Magee for Wofford hits 39%, although the other two starters in their three guard lineup hit 45% and 50%. Most of ETSU's guards are in the low 40% range.

Last year Sibley, Fowler and Davis all hit between 46 and 49%. We may have been spoiled a bit by that. Hunter hit 46.5% last year. Hopefully he will improve his percentages over the rest of year.

Maybe its just me, but I imagine a hell on wheels starting group in a couple years with:

Sr. Alex Hunter (tons of experience floor general and 3 pt. stroke)
Sr. Tre Clark (6-5 great defense and versatility)
Sr. Clay Mounce (6-7 great 3pt shooter and ability to attack basket)
Jr. Noah Gurley (6-8 great athlete running the floor and stretch 4 shooter)

and either
So. Jonathan Lawrence (6-9 and looks like another great shooting big)
or
Jr. Jalen Slawson (6-7 shot blocker and I see 3pt potential for him to be able to stretch the floor as a big)

Also don't count out Bothwell to take his game to another level by next season!

Also that 6-1 guard from Indiana we signed (Colin Kenney) averaging 30pts per game is suppose to be a good shooter as well from what I hear, I imagine Bob Richey wants to have around an 8 or 9 man rotation with everyone in the rotation being deadly from 3

The most impressive thing to me about the current staff is their ability to evaluate talent and then develop it.

For example Mounce had one D1 offer, us.

If Gurley improves as much as Mounce did between RS Fr and RS So years he’s gonna be amazing.

And Tre Clark, who couldn’t even draw iron his Fr year, is now shooting 44% from 3 (of course only vs D1 competition to satisfy the negative nancies).

And as a team we are shooting 36.3% from 3, good for 79th of 353 D1 teams (again, only vs D1 competition).

Well, UNCG started two 6'0" guards and a 6'3" guard against us. They started 6'10" and 6'8" at forward. The two starting forwards combined for 12 points and 8 rebounds, which was less than Rafferty had by himself (22 pts,10 rebs.) The average height of Furman's and UNCG's starters is exactly the same.

VMI has been starting a 6'10" center, but it hasn't kept them out of last place. Mercer has starting guards at 6'3" and 6'4" and players at 6'10",6'11", and 7'0" on the roster (plus a 6'11" 255 guy sitting out until eligible next year.) They are tied for next to last.

Absolutely. and I'm very high on Jason Pugh as well. Recruiting has been awesome. I'd like to see another big and a little more physicality but a year in the weight room could take Mounce and Gurley to another level. We'll be very good next year.

You're either agreeing with me, couldn't come up with an answer or misunderstood the question. I didn't say overall height of the starting lineup. We have good height at the 3 and 4 positions but real issues against taller guards and big guys in the paint.

More playing time for Tre Clark at the 1 and 2 spots and trying to work Jalen into the lineup (again) might be one solution. Moving Brown to the 2 spot might give us more size in the backcourt against certain matchups. Depth at the 4 and 5 (do we even have a 5 ?) is going to be the bigger issue. Rafferty has done an amazing job of holding the fort against some bigger players but I hate to tell you he's nowhere near 6-8. A little Woffy math on that measurement.
