With the ooc in the books the new season starts next week vs. Samford. Was hoping for a 2-2 ooc schedule but the 1-3 while not surprising is disappointing as one of the losses was to a bad team at home. The first 2 conference games are wiinnable but could be losses, just depends. After the first 2 games it gets much tougher. We end the season with arguably the 2 toughest road games. Maybe 3 because by the time we make it to VMI their field will be in horrible condition. Like GF said just beat WC. For what it’s worth here is my current rankings,
1. Mercer
2. Chattanooga
3. ETSU
4. WCU
5. (tie) Wofford & Furman
7. Citadel
8. Samford
9. VMI

I feel like we are arrow up going into New Season.

QB has some game reps and is maturing.

I think especially 2nd half last night we began to see what our strengths are in the run game and what we can better execute (more power less zone)

Still have some pass D stuff to work but it was at least marginally improved.

1-3 feels bad but here is some reality. We are basically, probably, one holding call in red zone at CHSSO and one false start call in red zone at W&M from being a 3-1.

I’m a glass half full guy and that’s what I see.

We have 8 games left.

We have to win 5 of those to finish 6-6 and avoid a losing season. Can we do it?

Go Dins!
