How many times did Stetson Coach Brian Young play in Furman vs. Georgia Southern games?
I cannot tell exactly which years Young played for Georgia Southern, but I believe they included multiple years within the 1990 through 1997 time frame.
I believe Georgia Southern had significant success against Furman Football during those years.

Weather Forecast:

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11am and 1pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 71. East northeast wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Does a Rain Game favor Furman or Stetson?
The underdog always.
It won't make much of a difference. A little rain and warm temps won't have any significant impact.

Stetson is about a 3/1 passing offense against two NAIA schools. Even in two blowout wins, they still only ran the ball around 35% of the time, which would indicate that they probably want to run it even less than that. They may try to run it a bit more against Furman just trying to shorten the game a bit.

Hedden…His game reminded me of Ingle Martin.
I'll throw another comparison out there…It was a sidearm throw similar to some of Mahomes' throws.

I do see some Ingle Martin in Hedden, but he's got a swagger, and maybe his style is more akin to Frankie DeBusk.
Well…With Hedden being a combination of a 3 time Super Bowl-winning & 3 time Super Bowl MVP, 2 time NFL MVP, 6 time NFL Pro Bowl, AND an SEC-starting, NFL draft choice, 4 years in the League, 1st Team FCS All-American, 1st Team All-SoCon, FCS Semi-Final leading, AND a 2 time 1st Team All-SoCon, FCS National Championship winning Quarterback…how could you NOT be excited!
Hold your horses, Big Guy… I'm just dreaming, no doubt, the result of my 8-day hospital stay recently. I'm happy just getting to watch the DINS play in person this weekend.

Jeez - you OK?

FUBeAR is a BIG FAN of pain medication and the hallucinatory optimism it can reveal.

Stay well and ROCK ON! FUBeAR hopes Hedden turns out to be BETTER than all 3 of those QB’s…combined!

Revieed since it MIGHT rain, the over under is 3K,
Looks like we will be ok, rain chances for Saturday continue to go down. Down from 90% to 64% and probably no rain during the game. Why does Chris Justice always err to the worst case scenario.
Because he gets geeked up over the thought of inclement weather. He can then declare an "IMPACT" day!

We gotta work on y’all’s research skills.

A Brian Young lettered for Georgia Southern in 2000. That Brian Young was a 6-2 279 lb Caucasian OG from Washington County HS in Tennille, GA https://static.gseagles.com/custompage ... G_2000.pdf

Stetson’s Head Coach, Brian Young, is an African American from Savannah, GA, who is said to have played for, but did not letter, for Georgia Southern at some point, likely before the 1997 season.

Furman defeated GaSou in 1996, 21-14. No “Young” registered a statistic for GaSou in that game.
Furman lost to GaSou in 1995, 20-27. No “Young” registered a statistic for GaSou in that game.
Furman lost to GaSou in 1994, 26-31. No “Young” registered a statistic for GaSou in that game.
Furman lost to GaSou in 1993, 19-31. No “Young” registered a statistic for GaSou in that game.
Furman lost to GaSou in 1992, 0-21. No “Young” registered a statistic for GaSou in that game.
(Too many links to include)

No “Brian Young” appears in the GaSou Media Guides from those years.

Though not 100% certain, it is reasonably safe to conclude that Stetson’s Head Coach has never stepped on the field as a Player against Furman.

Wow … FUBeAR doesn’t know anything about it, but reckons that GBS stuff is not nearly as sexy as the hot French actress that FUBeAR hopefully imagines it was named after. Perhaps it’s more akin to a polemic Irish playwright.

Thanks, kudos, congratulations to FUBeAR. Affirm would have needed at least 3+ uninterrupted hours to find the info that FUBeAR found and shared within 1 hour, probably while doing multiple other things during the same hour.
Also, affirm has minimal interest in researching Georgia Southern Football.

Admittedly, the fact that a guy attended Georgia Southern from 1990 to 1997 seemed reasonable to most of us.

From sketchy “research” by affirm:
He appeared to be born June 1972 so he could have started college 1990.
Got his GSU bachelors degree 1997, tryouts for NFL in 1998, then played Arena Football including in Atlanta.
Apologies for possibly .inaccurate and confused info.
Just wanted to know about his previous interactions with Furman Football, prior to his current team playing us a few hours from now, particularly given that those interactions would have been during some of those 1990’s years.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
