A lot of teams get a power 6 team to come for the new opening of their arena (Wofford, Elon) so we should be able to get someone

I would not be upset at all if we can lure a Big East hoops team here to play us somehow (Power 6) if that's what we can get...

I guess we will have to adjust the term Power ? next yeae. Never considered the Big East a power conference since they are a bunch of non-football playing schools. You can’t be a Power conference without FB. If they are a power conference why isn’t the Mountain West? The MWC has football schools and got 5 teams in vs. 3 for the Big East. Since the Pac-12 no longer exists next year for me it will be the Power 4. Just sayin’

I know that you are of course aware that the Big East does have Division I football at Connecticut, Villanova, Georgetown, and Butler.
Yes, I realize football is not sponsored by the conference; but Big East is not “a bunch of non-football playing schools”, because there is some D-1 football going on at some of those schools.

I would love to host some of those Mountain West schools as well...

Yes but only 2 D1 as the other 2 are non-scholarship d3 just using the d1 label.

No. Villanova, Georgetown, and Butler are all D-1. UConn Football also is D-1. Do not mislead people, because some of them will think what you are writing is true.

Like I said UConn and Villanova are the only 2 scholarship fb programs. Georgetown and Butler are non-scholarship aka as d3 that are just using the d1 label.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
