If I remember correctly he had plenty of FCS and maybe a few FBS offers over his successful HS run. He chose to come to Furman with Hendrix. Seems to me he and Hendrix have a goal in mind, and are committed to Furman. Now once we are perennial SoCon favorites and playoffs contenders Quarles (and perhaps Hendrix) will look at their options? But I don’t think now is that time. He could have taken the money and a HC job directly from HS without coming to FU first if that was his goal.

I graduated from Furman in 1983 summer graduation as a 2nd Lieutenant in the army with a degree in Computer Science/Mathematics.
