craxy news from lax world.... Dins change coaches a few weeks before season starting

Not good.... for this year nor for next couple years as recruiting will take a hit

Anyone know what happened?

Well at least whoever is hired as the new WLAX coach won’t have to fundraise for a building to house coaches offices and locker and training room facilities for the athletes. The former baseball coach who was a decorated two sport athlete and played on NCAA tournament teams in both sports for Furman, did that already.

I know the lead donor for that facility is thrilled that their generosity just over a decade ago now is largely forgotten.

You are misinformed.

Women’s lacrosse occupies the former baseball facility that opened in 2013. The lead donor for whom the building was named after had nothing to do with lacrosse and nothing to do with the decision to cut baseball and men’s lacrosse.

IMHO this would be a good time to create a lax strategic plan. they are in the baseball complex becuase they got kicke out of Timmons due to basketball upgrades. they practice on baseball and soccer fields, Play on FB field and seem to have a hard time keeping asst coaches.

If u gonna do it, do it right. JD said in one show that they had a donor willing to help with a facility. Now the Timmons is winding down (hopefully) is this the next priority?

Maybe there was some miscommunication from my end - The lead LAX donor voted to remove baseball and men's lax.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
