As I predicted earlier in the week.
Many of the things that you write ARE very insightful and correct. This was one of those.

Now I am somewhat worried about what Furman will do next Saturday, Senior Day AND Military Appreciation Day, against VMI.

VMI apparently has a good team and momentum, so it very well may not be what we previously may have looked forward to.

Go Furman!

Beat VMI!

I don’t want this team to go into the playoffs on cruise control. I want us to be challenged, no matter the opponent’s record. It will prove to be beneficial. I’m not trying to be delusional, but you don’t get better without being tested. Nobody cares about your average margin of victory once you have won it all!

Just take care of the remaining bidness. Show the Military how much we appreciate them by crushing VMI. Then on to S-burg for a Day of Fear & Loathing for the Little Dogs.

Not worried about being on cruise control. We will have a Bye Week to to shift into Hyper-Light Drive for the playoffs.

FWIW - This was FUBeAR’s prediction for the VMI @ ETSU game…

Despite what some may think, particularly those that position themselves as National FCS Pundits, but are really nothing more than Big Sky and/of MVFC FanBoys, both of these Teams have really good defenses. While ETSU is injury, talent, and youth-challenged to get their Offense together, VMI's is starting to gel. This is certainly not the VMI Team that was pushed by Davidson and lost to Bucknell. Their emerging Offense gets the edge for them in this road game.

FINAL SCORE: VMI 24 - ETSU 14

Either underestimated ETSU’s O or overestimated VMI’s D a tad or half a tad for each.

VMI is good. They would be a Top 3 Team in the CAA. They can beat FU if we allow them to.

ETSU ran all over VMI. Almost 300 on the ground.

Not just talent. It’s the matchups. Like we matchup better with WCU than we do with UTC. Credit to the UTC dl stopping our run. We can run on WCU. The above is very encouraging
