I think it is fair to say “WE ARE NOT WHO WE THOUGHT WE WERE” at least not yet.

Meh. I think we're fine.

Through four games last year we'd beat a D2 team, lost to Clemson, beaten a bad ETSU team, and struggled against a bad Charleston Southern team.

We are a work in progress. We are where we are supposed to be in the W-L column. I'm not going to sweat anything else for now.

I agree we are a work in progress. We have played 1 home game against a pretty good team. We have played a strong SEC school. We have played a really good program in KSU who is becoming FBS.
Our bunch had to grind last Saturday night. That last drive is what winning programs do.

Exactly, did what we had to do to win the game. On to Mercer!

What is the health situation for the offensive line. I know we have had some issues. I really hoped for a better running game than what we have had. We got better last year as the season progressed so I hope we see the same pattern this year

I am still concerned about the defense. It’s kinda disappointing they scored 21 points, had 209 yds on only 15 plays in a little over 6 minutes of possession time in the 4th quarter. That is an average 14 yards per play.

That also coincided where we had something like two or three drives on offense and got nowhere.

We had a rough patch in the 4th quarter. Our defense wasn't stopping them and our offense went conservative and couldn't maintain enough possession.

This happens all the time now in college and pro football. It is an offensive game and the rules reflect that. It's not just a Furman issue. No lead is safe!

I’d prefer us to peak later in the year.

W/L record is right where we thought it would be.

Hopefully we re learning and growing from some of the mistakes we’ve made.

Offensively not confident about who we are or what we can do...when opponent packs the box sometimes we keep running the ball with little result. We need to pass first when they are packing the box...then run when they have to spread out. We need to recognize that early on and call the plays that the defense gives us.

2-1. Right on schedule. We are running plays that have 5 different options. Options 4 and 5 will get unveiled as needed at Samford and Western. Gamecocks and KSU are good tests.

Might want to think about unveiling 4 and 5 this week. 😀

Johanning's back. Clay said today the five starters are together for the first time this season. -- MD

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
