I noticed he's listed as a WR. I figured this would be the case, as he weighs a good bit less than the average NFL TE. I think his speed and his hands make him a reliable WR, especially if you can put him in the slot.

Furman called him a TE, but Miller was most dangerous as a slot receiver.

Good news Ryan Miller caught the only pass thrown to him tonight for 15 yards. The bad news the Bucs had 16 players catch at least one pass but no one caught more than 3.
Russell Gage is down for the year with an injury, so another roster spot is open in that WR corps. Our guy has a chance at making that line-up. It sucks that it has to come by way of season-ending injury (never want that for anyone) but maybe a silver lining for Miller Time.

Miller did not catch a pass tonight and had only one target. So his preseason total for the year was 3 catches on 4 targets for 35 yards, NFL rosters have to be at 53 Tuesday at 4. Unfortunately look for him to be cut by Tuesday. Looks like he never got a fair chance.
