$9M to start... wow

What is the rookie salary for each player taken in the NBA Draft?
The first pick in this draft will be getting $9,212,600 in salary in his first year. This decreases by 10 percent for the next player so on. By the end of the first round, players are only making a little less than $2 million — the No. 30 pick makes $1,828,300 in their first season. After their first year with the team, each player makes a five-percent raise.

For second-round picks, it is a bit different. Most second rounds picks have one or two years. The salary for the top picks in the second is around the same as for the first-round picks.

For the rest of the class, it starts around $500K. The keyword when it comes to the second round is guaranteed money. Obviously, the player wants to get the whole contract guaranteed. That will not happen in a lot of cases and there is more flexibility for teams and players to negotiate under the max salary.
There was discussion this past week about there being no wage scale and therefore no guaranteed salary for a second round pick. There is also no guaranteed contract. It is up to the second round picks to make the roster so they can get a contract. The minimum salary for a NBA rookie is going to be about $1 million for the upcoming season.

Let's just use an example from the 2022 draft, Jabari Walker was selected with the #57 pick, he made the Trail Blazers final roster for the season and got 3 years of guaranteed salary:
'22-23 $1,017,781
'23-24 $1,719,864
'24-25 $2,019,699

sure they have something like this but if not they should have a "Pro" wall somewhere that recruits can stare at

Dins have had many pros over the years even before Medved and Richey.
SD forgets the name, but one young man that xferred out of Dins even played in NBA finals. Think he xfrrd to Fort Wayne when JJ left

Jordan Loyd, left when JJ was still here. Actually he only played 1 game (the first game of the season) his sophomore year. Don't think that would be a player that we would put on a wall

But we have had some guys play in Europe, etc. over the past couple decades that would qualify as good FU Pro's, to go along with NBA guys like Slawson, Selvy, Mayes, etc.

JJ and that one game apparently had a huge impact on JL :). Per wiki

Toronto Raptors (2018–2019)
On June 25, 2018, Loyd signed a two-year deal with the Turkish team Darüşşafaka.[12] Four days later, Loyd joined the Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics for the 2018 NBA Summer League.[13][14] On August 7, 2018, after impressing during the Summer League, Loyd opted out of his deal with Darüşşafaka and signed a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors.[15] On October 29, 2018, he made his NBA debut playing two minutes in a 109–124 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.[16]

Loyd won a championship with the Raptors after they defeated the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals. Loyd became known as the "Random Guy in a Suit" due to being beside Kawhi Leonard during the Game 7 buzzer beater, which he recognized by wearing a shirt with this slogan during the Raptors Championship parade.[17] Although Loyd did not play in the playoffs nor Finals, Loyd was credited as an important part of the Raptors' championship versus the Warriors, as Loyd was used as a fill-in for Stephen Curry during Raptors' practices, simulating Curry for defensive game planning.[18]

On August 2, 2019, Loyd was waived by the Raptors.[19]

None of that has anything to do with Furman, fact is he had a big fallout with JJ for not starting that game and he left the school as a result as I recall, so not someone we would put on a wall.

Interesting. Jake Stephens has signed an exhibit10 contract with the Sacramento Kings. “An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum-salary NBA deal that allows the franchise to convert the contract to a two-way contract if that change is made before the start of the regular season.”
