I'm hopeful that students will start turning out for these games. Over the last couple of years, it appears from TV that there's been some decent student turnout, especially for those Saturday games in January. And to be honest, while it's difficult for many on this board to believe because we all love Furman football, it's a lot easier for the students to get excited about a sport where Furman is ranked ahead of UCLA, Indiana, Syracuse, Notre Dame, etc. instead of one where we are ranked ahead of Central Arkansas, Lamar, PC, Yale, etc. I wish they would support both strongly, but I do understand if the name recognition alone brings them closer to hoops than football. Not to mention shorter games, games not during critical national football games, played during weather where you don't want to be outside doing other things, etc.
