D1 teams can take a foreign trip once every four years. There are currently over 360 D1 teams. On average there could be 90 teams taking a trip every year.

Taking a summer trip would seem to be a nice extra to offer recruits.

Is it reasonable to think we will play against any of the teams also listed as being in Bahamas that week? (South Carolina, VMI, Creighton, etc)

I’m pretty sure NCAA teams are not allowed to play on trips like this. Can play teams from said country. Never heard of ncaa teams matching up.

I meant local teams while in the Bahamas. Can’t play other NCAA teams in the Bahamas.

Kentucky was in it last year. Below was their competition.
Kentucky’s competition will include:

Bahamas National Team – Team comprised of Bahamian players competing for a berth in the AmeriCup and World Cup;
Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada) – Winners of 16 of the last 19 collegiate national championships in Canada; owns wins over Syracuse, Wisconsin and others in its summer tour exhibition history;
Dominican Republic National Select Team – Members of the Dominican Republic’s national program all under the age of 22
Tec de Monterrey – Mexican collegiate team boosted by U23 national team players as well.
